Job Description
Team Members perform a variety of tasks to support the operation of a restaurant. They may be responsible for food preparation, such as chopping vegetables or assembling sandwiches, or for customer service, such as taking orders or serving food. Team Members also assist in cleaning and maintaining the dining area, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Key Tasks

Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables or service counters.
- Provide detailed information about menu items and daily specials.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.

Order Management:
- Take accurate orders using the POS system.
- Communicate order details to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Ensure all dietary restrictions and preferences are noted and followed.

Food Preparation and Serving:
- Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and procedures (specific to QSR settings).
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards.

Table and Area Maintenance:
- Monitor guests’ dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
- Clear and reset tables quickly for the next guests (specific to casual dining settings).
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, counters, and kitchen.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.

Payment Handling:
- Present bills to guests and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely.
- Balance cash register at the end of the shift (specific to QSR settings).

Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Educational Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant environment preferred (QSR or casual dining).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
