Brief Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards. This role involves supervising the quality control team, conducting product inspections, and implementing quality assurance procedures to guarantee compliance with safety regulations and customer requirements.

Goals

 

  1. Ensure Product Quality & Compliance

    • Achieve 100% compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, HACCP).
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to reduce product defects and customer complaints.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control procedures and reports.
  2. Enhance Efficiency of Quality Control Processes

    • Reduce inspection and testing time by 10% by optimizing workflow and adopting automation where feasible.
    • Implement real-time tracking of defects and non-conformance reports to streamline issue resolution.
    • Develop a training program to ensure all quality control staff are proficient in current procedures and safety practices.
  3. Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives

    • Identify 3-5 major areas of quality improvement per quarter and implement corrective actions.
    • Establish a cross-functional team to review and optimize production and quality procedures.
    • Develop and roll out a preventive maintenance plan for quality control equipment.
  4. Drive Team Development & Engagement

    • Develop individual development plans (IDPs) for quality control team members and track progress quarterly.
    • Maintain a high level of engagement and motivation, achieving a minimum of 80% satisfaction in team feedback surveys.

 

Job Description

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards. This role involves supervising the quality control team, conducting product inspections, and implementing quality assurance procedures to guarantee compliance with safety regulations and customer requirements.

Key Tasks

 

  • Supervision & Team Management:

    • Supervise, train, and guide quality control inspectors and technicians.
    • Plan and assign daily tasks to the quality control team to maintain efficient workflow.
    • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    • Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and lead corrective actions.
  • Inspections & Testing:

    • Oversee routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
    • Ensure that all tests and inspections are documented accurately and meet company standards.
    • Review and approve inspection reports, product release documents, and quality records.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues and improve product quality.
    • Identify trends in defects and work towards implementing preventive measures.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Educational Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Proven experience in supervising a team.
